The other

She finds herself to be the lady on the subway,

the one that is seated across

and whose sadness peeps out,

beside her seemingly tranquil semblance

and the casual smile

given to the man seated beside her.

With efforts she recognizes

that the parallels with the sad eyed lady

are incontrovertible.

Besides feeling fortunate

when hearing the 2nd plea for help

by the middle of her commute.

She wonders how she got to be that person,

and worries,

about an extended part as such a character.
